Aurora
Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 1995, in Stavanger) is a Norwegian musician and vocalist. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is a May 2015 release by Decca Records. It has received high praise from the blogs and the press. The singer has released a number of high-profile covers, such as Half the World Away (by the band Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) and have been widely praised. Katy Perry shared a tweet that Perry announced her new song Runaway. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is finding a grand piano that was in the attic. The piano was fascinating to her what it could do. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. The Aksnes family encouraged her to not to pursue music solely to have fun or for the sake of growth but rather, she was encouraged to take it seriously. As a result, she began to write songs of her own. Alongside Bjork She also cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. She began performing her songs publicly when her mother said they could help people not gain acclaim for her work, but instead help people see around them realize their own importance and how they impact the world. The piano was her first instrument at the age of six, and began making music when she was 9 years old. Her family didn't have any idea about it until she reached the age of fourteen. The dream was never to turn into Aurora. The only thing she loves is writing music. Music is her most preferred way of feeling anything.
