Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. It is widely believed that she was the one who initiating the contemporary scientific study of children's eyewitness memory and child victimes as witness in legal circumstances. Professor Goodman's publications are extensive, she has received numerous grants and has been the recipient of numerous awards the national level and international. She has consulted with numerous governments and agencies throughout the globe on policy and studies on child victims in the legal system. She has been a consultant with the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, which include those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) She was a founder member of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child Policies and Practice.
